How'd we get here?

It started with a song...

Many many searches for the right imagery to no avail.

I found myself asking why can't I just have Pinterest make music themed boards for me. It would make creating my artwork so much easier. So I did. Here is the entire process behind this collaborative between Spotify and Pinterest.
The Beginning: WEEK #1
RESEARCH + DISCOVERY: Finding the flow and Research

The first step in designing any feature is to study the existing flow of the applications you are working with. For Pinterest the flow is overall minimal with tapping and dragging as the main functions on the app. The ui is pretty simple letting the content speak for itself and allowing for a universal experience among all it's users. Notable ui parts are the content containers being stadiums (rounded rectangles) and the profile and share content containers being circles.

PRODUCTION: Video First Draft
For the feature explanation video the persona for "Sean" was changed. The overall video content centers around an animator struggling to get work done. The animator having to work with an artist with not a lot of content available due to a recent rebrand struggles to find inspiration for the music video he has been tasked with creating. becomes frustrated and overwhelmed. The new feature is introduced and a walkthrough of the feature is presented to the viewer. The main conflict is solved by Sean using the new feature.
